Build Storage Bed With Drawers

To build the drawers i ripped 1 2 plywood down into 8 1 2 wide strips then cut the pieces down to size on my miter saw.

I used my router to add a 1 4 dado groove to the drawer pieces then rounded off the top edges of the drawer pieces with a 1 8 router bit. The first step of the project is to build the headboard panel for the storage bed. Next build the base of the bed the two boxes that hold the drawers. Build the cleats out of 1 6 lumber and the panel slats out of 2 6 lumber. Insert 1 1 4 brad nails through the cleats into the slats and add glue to create rigid joints.
